Trust for Education and Development of Deserving Students (TEDDS) is a non-profit or non-commercial welfare Trust established in 1993 and duly registered under Trust Act 1882 vide Registration No. 232-LH-VSWA dated June 04, 1993. It has also been recognized as a charitable NGO by Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP), Islamabad.
The mission of TEDDS is to provide high quality education at minimum rates, free of cost or concessional rates on non-commercial basis, to the intelligent and deserving students from the underprivileged section of the society. Academic performance, wholesome growth of mind and body, leadership development and character building enabling high stature in the future professional career of the budding students, is the prime focus of The Trust School System.
Purpose of Establishment :
TEDDS has been founded on the following objectives:.
To provide high quality education, to the talented children of the under privileged and deserving public of our society. To promote educational participation and to increase the standard of education and status of teachers in the society.
To link with like-minded individuals / organizations to establish educational institutions in their respective areas to achieve the noble mission of TEDDS.
The Trust School System’, TEDDS has, so far, established three model high schools ‘The Trust Schools’ at Thokar Niaz Baig, Amir Town Harbanspura, Baghrian Green Town, Lahore.
5 Primary Schools have been established at Thokar Niaz Baig, Amir Town Harbanspura, Sabza Zaar Scheme & Allama Iqbal Town, and a new Girls Secondary / Higher Secondary School at Aamir Town, Lahore where the quality education is being delivered in conformity with organizational objectives.
TEDDS performance, programmes and operational transparency has been acknowledged and supported by the society in general. Many individuals and organizations have reposed their trust in TEDDS through contributions and donations, which are the main revenue generating source of TEDDS to meet project expansion. The Govt of Pakistan and Punjab have also provided grant for many of the institution's projects.
