Carry out the maintenance, overhauling, repair and trouble shooting activities
of a wide range of high and low voltage equipments and associated systems,
such as generators, motors, transformers, UPS, battery charges, switchgears,
control and distribution panels.
· Shall receive incoming work orders from his supervisor and prepare the
required permits, tools, and material to execute the assigned orders.
· Capable to read, draw, analyze schematic diagrams, single line diagrams,
wiring diagrams and logic control circuits to carry out the skilled fault finding,
diagnosis and trouble shooting of all electrical systems and its auxiliaries.
· Carry out various tests using test kits such as transformer oil test kit, HV test
kit, primary & secondary injection test kits and the like.
Maintain records, filing, document control, prepare reports of completed and in
progress work orders as per QP forms.
· Capable to co-ordinate with his colleagues and work in team.
· Capable of recognizing the associated hazards to each job and apply all safety
rules and precaution to avoid any hazards to people and equipments.

Main objective:

· Plan, direct and supervise major inspection overhauls of 11kV switchgear,
Power Transformers, HV, MV & LV Motors, Motor control centers, Electrical
heaters, control panels, protection relays and communication systems.
· Isolate and check work place safety prior to handling the equipment to
subordinates for work execution.
· Allocate work for subordinates, check progress, execution procedure, providing
instruction and advice as necessary.
· Maintain records, filing, document control of completed activities, in progress,
planned and unplanned work orders as per QP forms and sheets.
· Update the shutdown pegboard by the actual status and records and follow
planning instructions for the feedback.
· Investigate/trouble shoots all equipment failures and initiates necessary action.
· Prepare the required materials, tools, permit prior to the work execution.
· Capable of recognizing the associated hazards to each activities and apply all
safety rules and precaution to avoid any hazards to people and equipments.
· Ensures implementation of latest standards, codes and practices for all
maintenance activities in safe, timely and efficient manner.

· Inspects plants/equipments, scaffolding, work at height, PPE, tools &
equipment, fire blanket enclosures, site preparation for work, lifting equipment
and conducts gas test.
· Carry out safety inspections of Contractors and sub-contractors facilities such
as workshops and stores and the like.
· Capable of working 12 hours/day in a shift basis and it is also expected that the
safety officers provided during the shutdown will spend 80% of the time visiting
Refinery units for site inspections
