Dengue Virus, also called DENV, is one of the four serotypes, subspecies of viruses, which causes dengue fever. It is spread through a specific type of female mosquito and usually develops on clean water. The fever caused by this type of virus has symptoms like simple uncomplicated fever, muscle and joint pains, headache and a skin rash similar to measles.

Cure of Dengue Fever

Being a viral disease, dengue fever has no specific medicine to be treated with. However, the only option for its treatment is increase of platelets, which can only be done with fresh juices. Furthermore, a microbiologist from Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad, Pakistan, Dr Nadeem Ali has proved, after research, that dengue fever can be cured by apple juice.

According to Dr Nadeem, if the solution of apple juice and a few drops of lemon juice is given to the patient suffering from dengue fever, it can increase the number of platelets in the blood of the patient. So far, this treatment, by the solution of both apple and lemon juices, has been a success in the country.

The word needs to spread throughout the country because there are many people who do not know about this kind of treatment, where they do not even have to go to the hospital for a proper check up.

What is AIDS?

Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is a disease of the human immune system that is caused by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). AIDS disrupts the human immune system, the defence mechanism of human body that helps to resist harmful germs from attacking the body, and makes people vulnerable to many infections, including opportunistic infections and tumours. This susceptibility to catch many infectious disorders gets worse as the disease continues.

How AIDS Spreads?

AIDS is spread through the transmission of HIV via any external source. HIV is transmitted in many ways, such as anal, vaginal or oral sex, blood transfusion, contaminated hypodermic needles, exchange between mother and baby during pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding.

It can also be transmitted by any contact of a mucous membrane or the bloodstream with a bodily fluid that has the virus in it, such as the blood, semen, vaginal fluid, preseminal fluid, or breast milk from an infected person.

Symptoms of AIDS

After HIV attacks the human body, the body starts showing symptoms like major weight loss, chronic diarrhea or weakness, and constant or intermittent fever for at least 30 days. Other symptoms include a persistent cough, loss of appetite, swollen glands and dermatitis or skin infection.

Prevention from AIDS

There is no official treatment for AIDS yet; however, it can be prevented by taking necessary measures like vaccination, avoiding sexual intercourse, oral, anal or vaginal, with any stranger or the AIDS patient.

One must be very careful while having blood transfusion. Always ask for HIV free blood whenever needed. The hospitals and laboratories should make sure that the blood they get from donors is, by all means, not contaminated with HIV or any other syndrome.

Always make sure to use sterilised surgical instruments and syringes while injecting or operating. Barbers should sterilise their cutting and shaving instruments every time they go for cutting or shaving.
