Waqas Younis is an ex-cricketer; he is probably one of the greatest fast bowlers a country ever produced.
Younis Started his career in 1989, he took 789 wickets in both forms of international cricket. In his era he was one of the fastest bowlers.
Right arm fast bowler was the master of reverse swing bowling; his ability to swing the ball in the air was immaculate. Many greatest batsmen feared to face his bowling
Vehari based fast bowler ended his career in 2003, and after the retirement he appointed as a bowling coach of Pakistan national team in 2006 to 2007.
Later on, he was chosen as the regular coach of team Pakistan in March 2010, he was a great coach, as his coaching techniques enabled Greens eleven to conquer many victories in the game of cricket.
He resigned from the coaching of Pakistan cricket team on 19 August 2011.
Waqar married to dual national Pakistani Australian Dr. Faryal Waqar.
