Pasta is originally an Italian Food. It is made from wheat or Flour. Now it has spread all over the world and known for its various varieties and shapes. Ravioli and Tortellini are also two of its varieties which are filled with ground meat or cheese. In Italy people eat pasta at the start of the dinner. Famous shapes of Pasta which are also popular in Pakistan are Spaghetti, Maccheroni, Fusilli (Swirls), and lasagne (sheets).
Pasta comes in two basic styles: either dried or fresh. Dried Pasta without eggs has a long storage life whereas fresh pasta should be used within days with refrigeration support.
